What Is Electronic Waste?
Electronic waste or e-waste is one of the fastest growing areas of the waste stream with global supply system, and is also increasing at a much higher rate than all other waste streams. Electronic waste comes from the disposal of all the old laptops, computers, phones, TVs, etc. These waste inherently includes many hazardous and toxic materials, and need to be responsibly disposed of. When we think of sustainable electronics, we need to focus on more than an end-of-life management practice.
