After the loss of her daughter, Molly, Monica began searching for the potential cause of this tragedy. In her research, she found substantial evidence that the chemicals in our laundry and household cleaners are not safe. You may not realize the chemicals in leading laundry detergent brands can break through our skin barrier and are harmful to our health. But confusing chemical names (and a lack of labeling requirements) make it hard to know what products are truly safe for your family. Monica believes we all deserve to know what ingredients we’re bringing into our home. That’s why she created Molly’s Suds.
Molly’s Suds detergents are made with clean ingredients to help combat the growing health issues with allergens and other symptoms linked to chemicals and toxins in conventional detergents.
They support the Laundry Project by Current Initiatives by paying fees for laundromats and donating laundry detergent to those in need. They strive to be as eco-friendly as possible by reusing boxes, using biodegradable packing peanuts, and by carrying many of their products in glass or recyclable/reusable containers. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, many zero-waste stores carry their products in bulk, such as their sister company, The Refillery.
