Fall has arrived and we’re seeing burnt yellow leaves falling, luscious fall sweaters filling our Instagram feed and yummy pumpkin baked goods popping up at the local markets. We’re seriously getting in the spirit of Fall colors. But, there is another super important color this month: PINK! Pink is the official color of Breast Cancer Awareness. Power of Self-Educating
This is the perfect time to support PINK for Breast Cancer awareness, research and prevention. Ask yourself if you know or lost someone to breast cancer. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States (cdc.gov). A whopping 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime (breastcancer.org). This month (and next please), we challenge you to text at least one person in your life about the power of PINK. Ask them to take a breast cancer risk assessment quiz and perform a self-exam. Whether it is your mom, grandmother, friend, brother (yes, men can get breast cancer too!) best friend, neighbor or aunt, take 2 minutes to show them you love them in the best possible way.
